So it’s been a while since I have added anything new on this blog, and my apologies for that. I’m in a point in my life where I have to work extra hard to further my career so I have been very busy with an internship.
I plan on writing some interesting things here within the next few days, but I first want to hear from you! What do you want me to talk about? Are there any issues that you want me to discuss before the new season comes out? Catfish-ing? LET ME KNOW!
I’ll leave you with this great Glee number in the meantime…
As you know, Glee shows a variety of mental illnesses in the show such as depression, anxiety, and well… you know the rest!
Tomorrow I will be taking part in the Walk so Kids Can Talk 5k walk in support of kids suffering with mental illnesses. Any Donations you have will go towards Kids Help Phone!
If you can donate, any little bit can help!
The link to the donation page is: http://my.e2rm.com/personalPage.aspx?registrationID=1853885&langPref=en-CA
So far, Team CTV Toronto has raised $469 thanks to generous people who have donated to a great cause!
Hate to say it, but i was right. I’m lying…. that didn’t bother me one bit.
In my recap of the Sadie Hawkins episode, I said that Rachel has been changing from who she originally was when in Ohio and a part of the New Directions. In this preview clip of Rachel singing ‘Torn’ I feel that she is singing about how she is torn from who she is changing into and who she really is.
So… today I uploaded the first instalment of Sing it Saturday where I suggest a song that I think would be cool to see sung by a character(s) on Glee. I also explain why it should be sung.
I hope you all like it and look forward to hearing your comments.
Sont forget to suggest more songs for me to think about adding to next Sing it Saturday!
So tonight i finally saw ‘Les Mis’ in theatres and must say, it was outstanding!
I have seen the broadway version, but really loved how the director, Tom Hooper, depicted the movie. In the middle of the movie, I immediately found myself gleaming at the screen when i heard Samantha Barks belt out the lyrics to ‘On My Own’ as I thought back to episode 1 of glee when we all heard Rachel sing for the first time.
I just wanted to make this small post to make everyone think back to day one of the New Directions and how much the characters have grown and evolved.
I am posting Rachel (Lea Michele) and Samantha Barks videos below so you can enjoy!
Ps – If you are going to a theatre to watch an outstanding movie such as this, please leave your newborn baby at home if you are going at night. I assume children are sleeping at this time so this is why i go to later shows. Dramatic climaxes in movies can be easily ruined by the loud roar of a child in need of milk.
Pss- Also… your popcorn bag will not run away. Close your mouth when you eat and I’m pretty sure 3 handfuls will not fit in your mouth at once.
I have been doing a lot of thinking lately about new ideas for the site (aside from the podcasting which I’m having a difficult time setting up), and I’ve been circling the idea that there are quite a few songs that the New Directions can sing that would focus on story lines that have not yet been discussed and would be a good idea to focus on. While there is a break in this season, i will be posting some of the ideas.
When the second half of this season starts up again on Jan. 24th i will have a new set up to ensure that analysis of each episode is able to upload even if i am without internet access.
To keep you guys excited, here is a preview of the upcoming episode.
Hint: Turn on the fans, its about to get hot up in here!!!
